Customer Service Representative, Sales Focus

Duties and Responsibilities:

John Bead is currently seeking friendly and energetic Customer Service Representative with sales focus to promote sales, contact existing and potential customers, develop potential accounts, secure orders from customers and provide excellent services to their satisfaction.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has an aptitude for selling and desire to exceed customers’ expectation, is passionate about beads and jewellery-making and has the potential to grow with the company!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Processing Sale order (online, fax, phone)
  • Having knowledge of the products, eager to learn and ability to upsell
  • Maintain proper customers’ records in a computerized environment
  • Answer all customers’ enquiries, follow up and follow through all outstanding issues
  • Contact existing customers to promote sales on a regular basis
  • Follow up with potential customers to develop sales
  • Show customers the displays in the showroom and describe the features of the products and demonstrate how they can be used
  • Gain an understanding of the customer's business and suggest products that would be suitable for their projects or customers
  • Promote new products or special events, offer substitutes for out-of-stock items and recommend additional items that might be of interest to the customer

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum three years’ experience of customer services with sales focus
  • Has the attributes and potential to grow into a more senior sales position
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Experience working with Jewellery, arts and crafts an asset
  • Retail experience preferred but not essential
  • Must be able to multitask and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of sales administrative processes and procedures
  • Above average knowledge of customer services
  • Must be customer-service oriented and detail-oriented
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, but also have the patience to listen to customers' concerns
  • Most of the day would be seated however some parts of the day may require longer hours on your feet
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong phone, email communication and customer service skills, both internally and externally
  • Familiarity with database management would be an asset
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Bilingualism in English and French preferable but not essential

Compensation:

Depends on experience. After one year, company benefits including competitive medical and dental coverage, life insurance, and RRSP Plan
